I took my class to @peabodyessex last Thursday to sketch from their new show from the @pafacademy collection. Here are a couple of my sketches done while the students were working.

The credit for X-Men Remastered on the Eisners is wrong. The book collects stories Glenn Greenberg edited 30 years ago, but I'm the sole editor of the book.
I'm real happy for the team but crediting "Glenn Greenberg and others" really sucked the joy out of this one.
"And others" on my own project 😐

Solo show is not until February 2028, but paintings take time, and it’s a big space to fill. Cutting panels to size for a series that I’m planning for the heart of the show.

You forgot to mention she resigned in protest in January after you killed her cartoon about your plutocrat owner.

@illdave.bsky.social I have a question about your paper/ink preferences for lettering. I have a commission to replicate some lettering for a piece of original art and they’d like it to look like it would have in original paste-up method. Message me if you would?

Been gathering work for a show @fortpointarts.bsky.social curated by @karlstevensart.bsky.social & found drafts of 1st pages of “Gulls” from “Pleading with Stars”. 1st is plain ink, then gouache/colored pencil/vellum. I ❤️ it, but vellum scans poorly. Used watercolor in final. (See cut out panel)

I haven’t been sharing much art lately, because I’m trying to protect delicate young ideas. But this I think is safe enough.

My pithy version: AI will do to our minds what automobiles did to our bodies.
I will die on the hill that the worst thing about AI, aside from the widespread theft to train models and negative environmental impact, is the atrophy of basic critical thinking and communication skills that it is trying to replace.

KEEP CALLING. PEEL OFF ALL DEM SENATORS YOU CAN.

☎️: (202) 224-3121

Tell them to vote NO on Cloture and NO on CR. Vote is pushed to after 1:15ish for now. Situation is fluid.

The only public YES votes are Schumer and Fetterman. They need 7-8 total. KEEP CALLING.

Call retiring Senators too!
March 14, 2025 at 2:59 PM
You can fax Schumer a document to tell him how you feel: faxzero.com/fax_senate/S...

Here’s what I sent him; you could too!

Call your senators today/tonight and (if Dem) insist that they vote no on the budget continuing resolution. Also give Schumer a call. (If Rep) express your displeasure about handing power of the purse to Trump & Elon. Find your reps and their numbers here: www.senate.gov/senators/sen...

$32,000 is the remaining PRINCIPLE on our student loans which we have paid 3x over during the past 25 years.

Especially damning is this:
“If…income growth…remained equitable [since] the 1970s, median household income today would be double what it is now”

The rich have robbed us my entire life.
Sen. Bernie Sanders highlighted a new analysis showing that the wealthiest 1% has extracted $79 trillion from the bottom 90% of Americans since 1975. In 2023 alone, $3.9 trillion was redirected upward—enough to provide every U.S. worker with a $32,000 raise.
Sanders: 1 Percent Has Sapped $79T in Wealth From Bottom 90 Percent Since 1975
In 2023 alone, $3.9 trillion was sapped from the bottom 90 percent— enough to give every worker a $32,000 raise.

I think the daylong boycott is a cute, universal good, smart even.

But what makes boycotts STICK is a continuous effort to support alternatives and not just for 24hrs.

Its not a boycott if you shop at Target tomorrow.
