Tuesday marked a deadline set by the federal government for the states to share a framework for new operating guidelines—another deadline that's come and gone with no agreement.

If the states don't come to a detailed agreement by February 14, 2026, the feds will step in and make a plan for them.

Immigrant advocates say a Durango father and his two children were held in a small, windowless room and only given potato chips and water as they were held in ICE custody in Durango for 36 hours.

They were then transferred together to a unit in Dilley, Texas, where they are still being held.

A protest erupted outside the Durango ICE field office after agents detained a local family.

Agents used pepper spray and rubber bullets on the protestors.
