Illustrator and Author.
I was recently inspired by @rameyer.bsky.social
who made her own fantastic cover pitch - to try my luck in submitting a cover sketch to the New Yorker. Alas it was not accepted, but I thought I would share it here. More details about the concept below-

A splash page from an upcoming graphic novel in the works. I’m trying a new method here with watercolor background and a flatter treatment for the figures. The setting is based on a painting titled ‘Romantic Landscape’ by the brilliant Thomas Cole, who founded the Hudson River School art movement.

College application is becoming harder than ever, and it seems like everyone is clamoring to get into a handful of elite institutions. Illustration for The Boson Globe Magazine.

A sequence from my recent book Shifter. In the book I chose a different color schemes for each scene, made to fit the atmosphere and general mood, I decided to go against the grain for dystopian sci fi, and not pick super gloomy or dark color scheme.

Nothing says 'dystopian' like not having the time or energy to talk to your family (assuming you want to, that is).

Text your mom a funny meme, or text voice memo, or email, or send a card, or set a time to go out for lunch, etc.

Some more book news! Together with my new book ‘Shifter’ French readers will be getting a new edition of my Sci-Fi graphic novel - ‘Highwayman’ (Le Voyageur in French) which first came out circa 2015 on Motherboard and later in book form. Thank you Marabulles for the incredible production.

New book out in France next month. A sci-fi drama that’s hard to describe. Hoping to have news on a US edition soon!

Let’s make sure to shame sketchers and the lazy advertising team that used AI illustration for this billboard.

Here's something light hearted after a week of harrowing news. A comic I made for @nytimes.com about the history of the eponymous TV Dinner. Hope you like it!
