if I had to pin it down, I'd say the recurring pattern is "the presence of a giant robot without its contextualisation within a real robot genre story"
and lots of good games have come out of this wave, but I wonder if the understanding of real robots as a trope rather than a genre is a confusion

My thesis is so dang bloated right now but I do not have the bandwidth to fix that... So the bloat persists

I tend to like listening to albums, but lately I've found that I've just been non-satisfyingly shuffling through all my liked songs; in order to rectify that (and thus facilitate more album-listening), I've been trying to go through and categorize all my liked songs (and their album) into playlists.

I've been watching some Japanese youtube lately, since I realized it'd be good listening practice (and the videos are fun). It was mostly Hanae Natsuki's channel for a while. I'm reading my favorite chapter of Shinozaki-kun again. It's one I haven't translated publicly, so I try not to talk about it much (anymore- older me was incredibly, irresponsibly loose-lipped), but... sometimes I just gotta.
It's intensely relatable in many senses. Which is why I like the rabbit.

I've sort of neutered my sleep schedule over the past few days, and I've been reaping my just reward for a bit now. Hard to do work, focus, feel like a person, the whole deal. So, I'll go to bed earlier today. "Earlier" being an incredibly relative term, of course... Though at least I got work done.

Finally watching arcane season 1- when it first came out I didn't play league, and didn't want to get tricked into playing it by animation. But now I play league anyways, and s2's out, and I need a break the thesis, so... Why not?
