I genuinely don't understood how America took the emoluments clause -- the common-sense bar on a president using his powers to line his own pockets, a law children can understand -- and just said, nah, that doesn't apply for our Very Special Boy.
He’s turned the presidency into the world’s largest ATM machine.

Two days ago it was Elissa Slotkin. Last week it was Jerome Powell. Before that, Mark Kelly. Weaponizing the justice system against your opponents is an authoritarian tactic.

The only person not being investigated for the shooting of Renee Good is the federal agent who shot her.
Breaking news: The Justice Department has issued subpoenas for Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey as part of an investigation alleging that they are impeding federal law enforcement officers’ abilities to do their jobs in the state.

3 hours ago, The Taoiseach posted photos on X of school children from a visit he made to Gorey.

How is that not a severe safeguarding issue, given what can be done with any photo on X now?

#IrishPol
The Taoiseach can't decide if the gov should stop posting pictures on X which can be turned into CSAM or other illegal content by anyone.

And what other issues on other platforms are as illegal as being a CSAM generator?

Well done Richard for being the voice of the sane here.

#IrishPol
He did say Apple & Google should remove it from app stores.

He also said the Govt wouldn’t give “kneejerk” response by immediately coming off X, saying other platforms have issues too.

I interjected to say those other platforms don’t generate CSAM.

He accepts that but said other issues exist.

I think @ag.state.mn.us is too kind here.

DHS ALWAYS lies first, then investigates. This may be the first time they've been ashamed enough to take shit down--normally it takes court orders.

But the MO is exactly the same. Every. Single. Time. They lie immediately, then check their own lies.
