Mia Goth is pretty amazing in Pearl. The whole movie looks fantastic too, with it's rich technicolor-type palette.

Why Spain is breaking the mold in Europe -
choosing regularisation instead of MAGA mass deportations!!

Two reasons: morality & pragmatism.

Today is #BandcampFriday.
What a perfect opportunity to download some glorious tunes from the #KlaktononIndustries catalogue whilst giving a sweet £0 (other currencies available) to some loathsome tech CEO/billionaire type.

I've just had my first 'sexually suggestive' notice applied to an image on BlueSky.
I must say, I feel quite the libertine...

I found myself disproportionately delighted when Wednesday danced to 'Goo Goo Muck' by The Cramps.

True.
One of the best horror movies ever made that you maybe haven't heard of. Absolutely everything about this movie is just, off.
On this day in Horror/Comedy History, PARENTS was released in 1989.

The UK version of “Project 2025” by the Reform party includes a British ICE, a concentration camp for 24,000 people, mass surveillance and withdrawing from refugee, anti-torture and anti-trafficking conventions.

It’s on their website. That’s how comfortable fascists are in the UK today.

Often unfairly overlooked (possibly as it doesn't have Cushing/Lee star power) this vampy delight is thick with a feverish, strange, sensual, somewhat perverse & foetid atmosphere & looks gorgeous. Plus Adrienne Cori, the wonderful Skip Martin & Dave Prowse.
Striking Japanese artwork for Vampire Circus (1972) 🖤

Recorded all 10 Episodes of Lovecraft Country on my Virgin Media box.
Watched 2 eps and was gripped - good stuff.
Following day, went to watch the 3rd and it said I couldnt as Sky Sci Fi is no longer available via VM. But i thought I'd recorded it, like a file on my hard drive..?
WTF?
Irritating.

CAS thoughts on Poe:

Unique, was the thrill with which I discovered for myself the poems of Poe in a grammar-school library; and, despite the objurgations of the librarian, who considered Poe "unwholesome," carried the priceless volume home to revel for enchanted days in its undreamt-of melodies.
