Action Alert ‼️

Luxon is doing secret deals with Trump to give US access to critical minerals in Aotearoa.

Think out-of-control mining of the seabed, conservation land, mountains and beaches. Would anywhere be safe?

Sign the petition and pass it on👇

This goes hand in hand with rampant un- and under-employment. Desperate people will take underpaying jobs despite horrible conditions and a terrible contract, and if you complain, you're gone, and some other desperate person will step in.

All part of the nact1 "destroy all workers" plan.

Why are the media still pussyfooting around? RNZ news this morning referred to "Former prince andrew, disgraced due to his ties to epstein" NO! He's disgraced 'cos he fucks children! Say it!!! 🤬

Radical: Selling income-earning assets for a song. Destroying work towards a knowledge economy. Lowering healthcare standards to cause exponential cost increases later in life. Incentivising companies poisoning our air and water and food sources.

It's not us who are radical, it's the right.

So the police think they can just say "nah" to the rare IPCA report that goes against them now?

Wonder how long it'll be before someone here gets shot by a cop on a power-bender for something like a thumbs-down gesture...

Police push back after watchdog slams ‘thumbs down’ stop
The incident occurred on December 22, 2022, after the officer pulled alongside the woman and later signalled her to stop, claiming he believed she may have been impaired by drugs or alcohol.

Even the Annoying Orange picked a side. Saying "I don't do politics" in 2026 is either saying "I'm OK with fascism" or *at best* "I don't want to get my hands dirty, someone else should fix this.".

Fascism relies on an apathetic majority. Do not give them that.

Today on NewstalkZB, Mike Hosking said it's a "reality check" for the Government to not have a proper response for climate hit areas.

Some examples of his previous work that may point to how we got here.

Quick #nzpol we'd better build a special terminal so we can import expensive (and getting more so) LNG from an unstable and untrustable America, before solar gets too popular!

So angry. 🤬
Australia's grid just hit record Q4 demand, but renewables supplied MORE power than fossil fuels for the first time ever! Rooftop solar smashed records at 61% share. Batteries tripled output. Coal & gas? Down low. Who said clean energy can't handle it? www.abc.net.au/news/2026-01...
Grid hits major milestone as coal, gas shrink amid ‘tripling’ battery discharge
Amid fits and starts, Australia's energy transition turned a big corner in 2025, as renewables shot past fossil fuels despite demand records.

If you have to go, going in such a way that Bruce Springsteen writes a song memorialising you is a hell of a testament.
I wrote this song on Saturday, recorded it yesterday and released it to you today in response to the state terror being visited on the city of Minneapolis. It’s dedicated to the people of Minneapolis, our innocent immigrant neighbors and in memory of Alex Pretti and Renee Good.

Here we go again, name suppression for a "former political figure".

A blanket ban from all bars in the Octagon. Must be pretty serious.
Anyone taking bets on whether suppression gets lifted after? I bet no, even if found guilty, 'cos that's just how we roll.

This is the large domino, with the small domino being some random quack in the UK in 1998 trying to undermine the existing MMR vaccine so his business partner can swoop in with his own. Instead he lost his work credentials and now kids are dying needlessly all over the world, so great job everyone.
Austria loses its WHO status as measles-free, too, together with Armenia, Azerbaijan Uzbekistan and Spain. This comes as no surprise, considering the rise in numbers in recent years and the decline in MMR vaccine coverage

If this doesn't seem significant now, remember that this is exactly the kind of structural weakening of norms, standards, and processes that has let trump bring American democracy to the brink of destruction.

Do not be fooled, nact1 would absolutely love to be allowed to do that here.

Cuts to things we need.
Spending on things we don't.
Subsidising and accelerating climate change.
Undermining clean energy initiatives.

Everything they do is the worst possible option, and always against expert advice.

They are destroying our country, for their mates' short term gain.

NZ Election day Nov 7 2026. With national's new trumpist voter suppression in place, you HAVE TO be enrolled by October 24th to be eligible to vote. Make sure you check your enrolment at vote.nz

We MUST get a government that distances us from the US.

The most frustrating thing is that it was always going to happen. A vote for national is a vote to defund and destroy public services, forcing privatisation, and funnelling the profits to the 1%.

People sold us out for a $20 tax cut that disappeared instantly on user-pays-everything.

#nzpol New Zealanders want a health system that we can count on. But more and more we're hearing from frontline workers that the system is at a breaking point.

Caught RNZ news on the radio on my way to work. Item 1: Massive bushfires in NE Australia. Item 2: Scorching temps across the motu (a boon for icecream sales, yay!).

Just random news, of course. Completely unrelated.

Or do we only dig into parties on the left?
