they accidentally showed the wrong language (german instead of the original version with subtitles) but half the dialogue is in yautja anyway, so it was okay (at least for my group, idk if others were inconvenienced. nobody did anything about it so it was probably fine)

i could analyse the hero's journey or whatever bc i think it'd work pretty well but i'll just say this was really fun. the cgi spectacle is cool, choreography was awesome, the final joke was so funny that we giggled all throughout the credits. yeah

i wish al's character arc could've concluded without shooting someone. i get that his bond with john restored his ability to do his job "correctly". but there shouldn't be anything wrong with solving things without a gun.

to clarify i watched the english dub and shiki's voice actor is doing a jamaican accent
other than that i think the dub does a good job and the tone of strawhat interactions specifically is really fun and they're obviously close and love each other

tesoro really is the perfect movie villain because you can pitch him as an amalgam of previous villains but actually he's a logical escalation of themes of the world! the freedom motif all through this is so fun to explore in this world of money and power

SO FUN!! fights feel much more balanced than in z and the heist stuff was really cool, made it feel like a mini-arc!
idk if right out of dressrosa was the right time to make it but rn i tremendously enjoyed this one (& i'm glad i watched it after z lol)

i re-downloaded pirate warriors 4
unfortunately i have reached high levels but the only character who is sufficiently levelled is kiku which means if i want to win i need to either be lucky with hp drops or play as her. which is fine she's fun but i want some variety 😔😔 a hell of my own making
