📺 Today’s report:

X didn’t respond to the Government or the EU - so we went to try to have a word.

Meanwhile, AI Minister urges EU to immediately suspend Grok and says she’ll speak to the Taoiseach about the Government off X.

I couldn't either to be fair and I'm sure their workload is intense but jeez they pay enough to advisors around them to have good information surely. It is madness! I think 2026 is looking to age us all overnight 😅

Such ignorance about people and how they are connected to the land they are from. The orange lad thinks everything is for sale and its a case of getting the numbers right. I fear he is going to take it and the EU will stand and watch, really hope I am wrong.

Very good from @nixonsimon.bsky.social on how Trump's "Donroe Doctrine" poses a grave threat to Europe that its leaders urgently need to wake up to

I didn't want to just scroll by and not acknowledge your feelings and say hi 👋. I am so sorry your experiences have been so tough with other people.

Bought it for my Mancunian other half for Christmas and by all accounts it is excellent judging by the intermittent chuckling going on 😃

Ah this looks class! Thanks for the tip on where to get it too.

Thanks, hope your list of books continues to grow too. It must feel seriously cool to get to the end of the year and see you have read that many 👏

I read 'Small things like these' which was beautiful. Antartica seems to be stand alone short stories with linked human themes. Tried to read The Blind Assassin by Margaret Atwood before Christmas but crashed and burned with my attention span so starting with short stories to work up to it 😅

Thanks so much for replying about your experience 💚 Leaning into the TY year as a time for rest and recoup and interests they want to bed into. I hear you on the situation in the North, also a consideration for us and dont see it changing anytime soon.

Thats impressive Eílìs! I am in a reading for pleasure slump but starting how I mean to go on today... started Claire Keegans Antartica. Hopefully it will kick-start my 2026 reading for fun not just work.

Dont feel pressure to answer but wondering has TY been a good experience for your family? Kiddo been off for 18 months and is venturing back the odd day at the moment. Ty starts in Sept and we cant decide if its a good idea or not. We live near the border so college in the north is also an option.
January 1, 2026 at 2:12 PM
Hi Aishling 👋 super topic and would be very happy to be interviewed. My kiddo experienced burnout at end of 1st year and was off for the best part of 2 years. They dont like online stuff though so it would me chatting rather than them 😁

Concerning but nothing new here. Farage was also at this in his support for Irexit and was shown the door. Bannons ignorance about Ireland is telling but equally we shouldn't be complacent with open threats of interference in our democracy. #spéìrgorm

Happy Solstice! Longer, brighter days ahead 💚 #speirgorm
That Arthur C Clarke quote about technology and magic comes to mind. The builders of Newgrange would be incredulous that people around the world could watch the solstice sunrise on hand-held devices. We have come so far and yet the magic of stones and ideas still captivated us like little else.
