This is a national tragedy and I am absolutely heartbroken. I join all Canadians in standing with the people of Tumbler Ridge. I send my condolences to the families and friends of those killed in this horrific event, and I am praying for a quick recovery for those injured. (1/2)

Is there not supposed to be a clear delineation between church and state in Canada? I see no need for this in our nation’s capital. Have what ever faith you want but it should not be the driving force in how a democratic nation is governed.

I believe you are correct, definitely rooted in British/European colonialism. Canada had a Truth and Reconciliation Commission which has assisted many to understand the horrors experienced by First Nations, Métis & Inuit. Have you had anything like this in Australia?

I see they’re spewing the full on racist bull against the Indigenous community as well. We have this crap in Canada too. It’s mind boggling to see such ugliness out in public and folks eager to support it. Hate corrodes the container it’s carried in and I wish more people understood that.

I’m heading out to do my essential grocery shopping today. I plan on taking photos of the items & price. Yes it may be tedious but I’ll have a record if & when groceries jack up the prices. Better to have evidence to back up any complaints.

Stop sanitizing the cruelty with the use of “detention center”. These are CONCENTRATION CAMPS. When people are contacting measles & TB, are laying in feces and urine AND aren’t receiving adequate food YOU ARE RUNNING CONCENTRATION CAMPS. The USA is the monster.
ICE just secretly bought a mega warehouse in Surprise, AZ to turn into a detention center, and they shut out local leaders from having a say.

I watched cross country check up on CBC. They tell us not to denigrate the separatists as it will only harden their resolve. I don’t care. Listening to these people, I am struck by how profoundly stupid they are. JFC! So incredibly stupid.

I hear you and it’s true. I was never into politics BUT I paid attention AND I voted. Do you know why I vote? I vote because my Granddad & his generation gave up everything to fight fascist bullshite. I vote to honour him & his buddies. It’s our democratic duty to vote. Not doing so is a travesty.
