Keep in mind that the regime is very good at pushing & pushing until people get pissed off & then pulling back a little & firing enough people that people stop screaming & then they start pushing again. They've done this over & over.

We're not winning in Minneapolis, they're just regrouping.

Needed to get out of the house. Breakfast at Taffi’s in Noe Valley. Didn’t realize how much my soul needed chilaquiles until they were in front of me. Perfect start to my day.

After the past three weeks of brutality in Minneapolis, it should no longer be possible to say that the Trump administration seeks merely to govern this nation. It seeks to reduce us all to a state of constant fear

Whatever is in the Epstein Files is so explosive that the leaders of the Department of Justice are openly breaking the law every day to keep us from seeing it. (Just a reminder amongst all the other stuff flying around.)

Before & after. Had arborist come to clean up the trees in the yard. Including taking down this canary palm that has taken over the yard. When I moved in it was about 12” tall. Discovered rats nesting in it and decided it needed to go. It’s just too big of a variety to grow in a 1/4 acre.

It's a warm sunny day in SF. Did some yardwork before the arboritsts come tomorrow to work on the trees. Plotting where I can plant an orange or a lemon tree where it will get enough light.

Picked up some blossoms in the Castro for the house and to remember a sweet man who died last week. We hadn’t been close since the pandemic but I still remember him. Sleep well Little Spoon.

Dinner. Garbanzo flour and curry dutch baby with roasted vegetables and yogurt. Easy, gluten free and somewhat vegetarian. Could use a broader range of vegetables, but this was quite tasty for a quick Friday night dinner.

Every couple of weeks we get a different description of the apparently awful stench coming off our necrotic president and I think it's high time the media nail down exactly what kind of rotten meat covered in women's perfume he actually smells like.

Picking up a few things at the grocery and noticed these. This is the third cassoulet related thing that has come across my path in the last 24 hours. I think the universe is trying to tell me something so I bought two bags.

A friend in Minneapolis just sent me this video. Looks like thousands have come together for a vigil after an ICE agent shot and killed 37-year-old Renee Nicole Good. This was my neighborhood for several years before coming to Portland.
