“In 2017 there was not a single asylum seeker who arrived on a boat. Today we have 46,000 a year and do you know why? It was because of the botched Brexit deal pushed through by Boris Johnson and championed by Nigel Farage. Nigel Farage should be here apologising”

New analysis by the House of Commons Library, commissioned by the Lib Dems, found that, “The UK is losing £250m a day in lost tax revenue due to the economic impact of Brexit”.

That’s just over £1.7 billion a week, “a black hole of £90 billion a year in the public finances.”

By censoring your lecture the BBC are merely confirming and reinforcing the precise point you're making in your timely lectures.
And that's a result.

Proportional representation - if not now, when?
A winner-takes-all two-party system may be helpful until a nationalist populist takes over. Then it’s worse. Better to have PR so the populists will be constrained by coalition partners, as in much of Europe.

🔥 Rachel Reeves says there’s a “hole” in the public finances.

A new decade-long Brexit study quantifies it:

A 6–8% hit to GDP

That's £180bn-£240bn a year

It means less tax revenue and so less money for everything.

Brexit made Britain MUCH poorer.
