Pancake day is one of those "holidays" that I never realise is happening until late afternoon on the actual day when people start posting about it. I enjoy pancakes enough that I would probably make the effort with advance warning.

Thought I was done with Song of Ice and Fire content, but I'm very engaged with Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. I like that it feels hopeful (I know it's still early days but the lead character is the reason it feels hopeful, and he can't be killed off)

The feedback I've seen about this season of Jet Lag has been about how the game is somewhat broken because some questions are too cheap or powerful. But I do think the bigger problem is starting the game at a transport hub, and then starting each subsequent round on piddly little local train lines.

I spent 2025 avoiding using my Xmas 2024 pressie air fryer cos it never seemed to do anything more than warm up food.
Xmas Day 2025 my oven broke so we had to cook in it: took 4 hours and died afterwards.
Warrantee replacement delivered this week, and, mine clearly never worked right. This is magic.

I liked it fine. Sure, S5 wasn't as good as previous seasons. But it wasn't a train wreck ending by any stretch of the imagination.
It had too many characters, and they tried too hard to give every single one of them a badass moment. The military B plot was pointless. But it didn't implode.

Someone should check up on zoomers bc so many of them are convinced there is a secret "real" finale for stranger things because "the real finale couldn't really be that bad"
