"The catch is that in order to get attention, you have to be terrible. You have to lie or embrace evil. In the attention economy there is enormous demand for civic blasphemy. What’s hard is getting attention for messages about truth, or virtue, or love."
Why Cory Booker’s Speech Matters
Booker didn’t “accomplish” anything. He was a voice of one crying in the wilderness. And that’s how you build a dissident movement: with simple acts of witness.

Powell Warns Trump’s Tariffs Risk Stoking Even Higher Inflation and Slower Growth
Jerome H. Powell, chair of the Federal Reserve, says the central bank’s “obligation” is to ensure that a “one-time increase in the price level does not become an ongoing inflation problem.”

Folks (and this thing has gone around quickly), it's still unclear *what* has been "deleted"; as many of you have noted DirectFile remains active. Part of the danger of Government-By-Unelected-Nutball is that what's actually *true* is a moving target.

If you RT'd my initial post, RT this as well.
Elon Musk claims to have "deleted" the office in the IRS which has enabled people to file their tax returns electronically, simply, and for free.

Any news outlet reporting Mexico conceded anything to Trump to get him to delay tariffs has not done its homework.
Trump boasts he got Mexico to commit to stationing 10K troops at our border. Apparently he didn't realize Mexico already has 15K troops deployed there

If you are a federal worker being offered a buyout, I would advise against taking it.

Of course, this is a personal decision for everyone and it’s your choice.

But these offers are a rush job. The legality is questionable and this admin does not keep to its word.

They aren’t firing for a reason.

Do people really not know that TikTok was in fact banned and STILL IS BANNED, like fully according to the law? The legislation always targeted the app stores and, in fact, the TikTok app has been taken down. Nothing Trump did or can do will change that. TikTok is banned! Right now!

BIG NEWS: A Wyoming judge just struck down WY's abortion bans.

And get this: The judge invoked a constitutional amendment codifying a right to make health care decisions... that was passed in 2012 by conservatives who thought it'd screw Obamacare! Just backfired.

We explained this lawsuit here:
How Attacks Against Obamacare Turned Into Tools to Protect Abortion Access
Conservatives amended state constitutions to affirm broad rights for people to choose their health care. Now abortion rights proponents are taking them at their word.

Pay attention to Oklahoma.

Bibles in classrooms isn't the big story.

The same legal teams behind the seeding of Dobbs are driving a case to create religious schools fully funded by the public & they've already petitioned the Supreme Court.

Understandably, everyone was focused on the election.

Indeed. When they rounded up the Japanese Americans, myself and my family included, for internment during WWII out of fear over Japanese spies and saboteurs, two thirds of us were U.S. citizens.

Don’t think it won’t happen again when they come for the “undocumented.”
