This morning the very evil President of the USA very predictably mocked the death of a good man. He did so to distract from his crimes, but also because he’s evil and can’t help rejoicing over the murder of his critics.

Go ahead, Donold. Have your fun, when life is done, a nightmare waits for you.

In a world where fewer and fewer people concern themselves with the plight of others, the loss of Rob Reiner, who cared deeply about humanitarian causes, feels that much more devastating. RIP: 1947-1925.

ICE use of Border Control agents is disgusting. Most of these agents are criminals with a badge, running free rein on innocent people. Just like the prison guards ICE has hired. They are thugs and losers.

"The Trump regime is explicitly saying...America is not about freedom of thought. America is about the power of America, worshiping America," Univ. of Toronto Philosophy Prof. Jason Stanley says about America's authoritarian slide. #Velshi
How authoritarian states get private citizens to be ‘complicit in their crimes’
By asking people to submit tips about their fellow citizens and instances that are not in line with its ideology or agenda, the Trump administration is creating a permission structure for the public to monitor and report one another – and there’s a reason for that. “Authoritarianism is a mafia state,” University of Toronto Philosophy Professor Jason Stanley tells Ali Velshi. “And how does the mafia operate? The mafia operates by getting you to be complicit in their crimes.”

The NY Times published an editorial citing Susan Collin as "a moderate Republican." Collins is a reliable vote for Trump's agenda, has voted against democracy at every turn and supported extremist judges.

This is why people are abandoning legacy media--even while enjoying games, puzzles & recipes.

Imagine being the largest newspaper in Washington, DC with the motto "Democracy Dies in Darkness" and thinking to publish this today.

You might think WaPo editors would look out the window and realize something more important is happening. But perhaps democracy already died over there.
