I love this.
I felt like making some art last night/today and could have made something beautiful and/or meaningful but I made this instead.

It's a Barbie Yaga Malibu Dream Hut.

No regrets. Can't defeat fascism without joy.

I have decided to do a potentially large contribution to the punks on paper project. Online collection of NC punk and underground ephemera. Apparently it just got picked up by I think uncg or one of the other colleges. It'd give me something to work on. I have a ton of stuff that I've held onto.

Cute first date idea: crime spree.

The other up tick I've seen on here are blatantly AI generated "musical artists."

My life in a single venue. I've probably seen more shows here at this nondescript little club than anywhere else. Many friendships began here.

Some nights are for some good blues listening . Tonight's one of those. Hoodoo Man Blues might be THE MOST essential Chicago blues record. I've given this one to a lot of people as a gift over the years.

Folk singer is a totally stripped down acoustic Muddy Waters record and it kicks so much ass.

I really love that story about how Jerry Garcia wrote the music for terrapin station in one sitting meanwhile Robert Hunter was writing the lyrics unbeknownst to either of them also in one sitting that same day. Some of the best art works in mysterious ways.

Now I'm thinking about the other films we watched in film class. American Movie and The Player have remained favorites. Actually movies about the movie business really attract me big time.

People who say cats don't care about their owners should know that Dexter was so thoughtful that when I first got him he'd leave me a cat toy in my work boots literally every morning for the first six months. I realized it was him giving me something to do while I was gone all day. The sweetest boy.

I just heard someone refer to certain brands of cheese as being woke cheese and now I need to go back to bed for six years.

I recently bought a jar of Salsa Verde and finally had it on tacos last night and omg yum.

I love how music can attach itself to memories. Like I specifically remember that I bought and first listened to Wilco's Yankee Hotel Foxtrot coming home from my intro to film class. We'd discussed Citizen Kane that day.

I saw a video that made me laugh as a parent who was also a really picky eater growing up. It said "As a parent I'm always trying to broaden my kids horizons and I have. They like international foods like the chicken fingers at a Mexican restaurant, or the chicken fingers at an Italian restaurant "

If I was a surgeon I'd always tell the x ray tech "Roll that beautiful spleen footage."

The drop off from how I normally feel into a spiral of depression is always an unsettling experience. On the other hand the transition out of depression is a bit like being pulled from some wreckage and taking flight simultaneously.

The first time I listened to Ween around my wife she asked if it was the South Park guys. That's when I realized that Ween probably inspired some of the voices on that show. There's certainly a shared bent sense of humor between the two.

Uh oh. You can go live on here now apparently. I might play some music or read y'all some poems soon.

I realized that I have asked my cats not to sass me more than my own kid.

Any time I feel down on myself I'll get dressed up for no particular reason and then I'm like "Damn, I clean up pretty good."
