I want more people to care that SNAP benefits are being cut off on November 1. 40% of SNAP beneficiaries are children. This is callous and vile.

The UK would be making a serious mistake in doing this. I thought the Labour Party was in charge there. They’re acting like Reform.

I like how the American Government has adopted the literal policy of ethnic cleansing and the vast majority of Americans are just chill about it.

The US needs competition among companies, not consolidation. Monopolies produce lower quality goods & services at higher prices.
Republicans like consolidation because fewer large companies are easier to control than hundreds of smaller ones.
Just five media companies control 90% of our media market.

But it’s not just media. In 75% of U.S. industries, fewer companies now control more of their markets than they did 20 years ago – leaving us vulnerable to higher prices and lower wages.

Doctor Trump had spoken.
Must be a proctologist since he works with so many a-holes.
Highly normal. Nothing to see here, folks.

When America eventually gets out of this, it needs to make business leaders fear to break the law. At minimum Teddy Roosevelt levels, possibly more. Many are apparently operating under the belief that lawbreaking and rights violations are all upside for them, no need to worry about consequences.

Previous generations fought fascism in nearly every corner of the earth. Today it’s on our streets, silencing opposition and attempting to control the airwaves.

The GOP has declared all out war on free speech. It’s up to us to fight for it.

what I'm learning from the fact that every one of these decisions has a "huge merger waiting to be approved" factor is that we should no longer allow mergers

sorry, you can't buy any other companies anymore, too dangerous to civil society

only antitrust breakups allowed

One thing that bothers me tonight in particular is how so much of this is happening because of grand and sweeping capitulation by the media, by companies, by Congress, by people in power. Even when they don’t have to — they simply comply, acquiesce, and appease.

Fox News host advocates for killing the homeless and less than a week later two homeless camps get shot up. Coincidence?
The local government response is completely unacceptable.

I’ll give a recent example of this. I just read a story about professors at a university who were poor on leave for comments they posted on social media. The entire story was about people’s reactions to the posts while never disclosing the contents of the posts.
Americans are getting close to never knowing the truth again.

Its all spin, distraction & sleight of hand while taxes increase to support the privatization of Federal Agencies & the oligarchy.

There s a corrupt president & Admin, a corrupt DOJ, a corrupt Supreme court & a corrupt Congress.
