I used to make show posters for people. Small time, but i got a bit of cash that helped me survive with my shit wage job. I had a friend get super into genAI early and he started generating his posters instead of hiring someone.

There are 2 roles that play into capitalism, those who think they win the game by accumulating the most wealth, and those who think they win b/c they are making the most while having the least, and both cases the game can only be won by one person, which is a pretty stupid idea to found a society.

We keep seeing startups who want to replace something valuable (therapy, counseling, tutoring, artistic expression) with some tech bullshit under the banner of democratization. But why do we need to invest so much in bad tech that doesn't work instead of just giving people access to what they need?

Something I really, really wish was more present in my childhood is the idea that it is okay to be wrong, you will not die if you are incorrect, and that the ideal is not to be Always Correct, but to be Always Open, tegatdless if you're right or wrong, to test your belief.

Sorry I refuse to entertain the complete non-existent world where white people don’t know that countless cultures, including some of their own but certainly diasporic racialized ones, call their mom’s cousin’s friend’s sister they grew up with “cousin” and call close women elders “aunt/auntie”

Creativity is supposed to be hard. It's how we problem solve, erego you had to struggle to accomplish something. I keep seeing these paint by numbers kits, and recently just saw a digital "stamp" that was just...basically dolls you would draw over. Not to mention Chat J'ai pété.

As soon as the Portland Frog became a meme, Jewish social media blew up with jokes about the 2nd Passover plague - tzefarde'a (frogs) - and the Rabbinical commentary around it. I knew I had to make a calligraphy piece encompassing all of it. (more in alt.)
