Ok, this is pretty cute! I reckon I can just temporarily cover part of the screen to make it G-rated 😂

Ok, anyone with relevant expertise. What do I do with requests for full-text of my (published) articles from ResearchGate users? Are there any copyright issues with sharing the article? So far I have ignored them, but I'm still getting reminded about a request from 2016 😬

Thanks for lots of follow backs from the medical and public health peeps! 👋

I'm sure I'm going to need this at some stage
Reading student assignments makes me want to post this again about colinearity

At least this is starting to hit the mainstream media a little..
How many times do I need to say "Don't get infected."

Clean air! It's good for little people AND big people!
A new study in Helsinki daycares, Finland: air purifiers led to a 30% reduction in children's illnesses.

Healthier children = healthier staff and parents = big savings.

Bonus: the sound of the air purifier made it easier to get the kids to nap.

Trying to name the onslaught of feelings evoked by a text manifesto from an "anti-vaxxer since Covid" person, complete with martyr themes and smug tones of "we were right about everything".

This is my new favourite article. To me, if you as a HCW decline to wear a mask, it equates to saying "I'm ok if you get Covid (or flu or RSV)". We spend a lot of time telling patients to avoid disease in pregnancy, but it's vitally important

Interesting read, if, like me, you ruminate on the underpinnings of anti-vax and Covid denialism @nicksawyermd.bsky.social

Has an anti-vaxxer near you been regurgitating disinformation? Maybe they need a fact check! Solid debunking available here:

So much about this screams "societal inequity", and it all becomes further entrenched by for-profit healthcare.
In Australia, we test for syphilis as part of routine antenatal screening in 1sr trimester, but due to a rise in cases here also, again at 28 weeks.

Covid-19 is the crappy gift that keeps on giving crappiness. It hasn't gone away, and is still worth avoiding.
"People infected multiple times with COVID-19 are more likely to develop long COVID, and most never fully recover from the condition. Those are two of the most striking findings of a comprehensive new 3-year research study of 138,000 veterans."

I've said I'm here for the science, but so far I've interacted at length with a post about ice cream...never mind, I'm sure I'll get to the science and medicine soon enough!
