Looking into sources for how to be a clown, I'm seeing mention of high brow concepts like "exposing the absurdity of the human condition". I guess there's more to being silly than I thought.

Furries, if yall are TRULY for the welfare of animals, it's time to do your thing. Even as a niche subculture--If all of us do our part and speak out/reach out to local representatives, there is a higher potential to make a difference in this grim environmental and political climate.

Update: Just gonna be friends with this new guy, cuz we have some incompatible life goals, but otherwise we have great chemistry. So I have ultimately gained a cute and awesome friend!
Not sure if it'll go anywhere with this new person, as he lives in another country, but at least a couple of days together has opened my eyes and my eyes aren't focused on someone who was apathetic about my loyalty.
