Got word that one of my favorite venues/dance spots in DC shut down earlier today. Absolutely heartbroken about it and devastated for the local community, because it was equally a space for artists of all types to meet up and create as well as just chill/vibe, as it was for dancers too.

This flu has me fucked up cause I'm up at 3 am on Xmas morning suddenly remembering the moment I witnessed + heard the loudest dap up (with a reverb) between two mutuals at MFF in the convention center lobby, asking them to do it two more times in a row, and being mad impressed in them succeeding

Furries, if yall are TRULY for the welfare of animals, it's time to do your thing. Even as a niche subculture--If all of us do our part and speak out/reach out to local representatives, there is a higher potential to make a difference in this grim environmental and political climate.
