Why are work systems for employees in public services so bad, e.g. in health- or other welfare services?

This has a detrimental effect on people who depend on public services, and who may already be vulnerable.

We need to do better.

"Thinking outside the box" is often associated with being creative and innovative.

Comparatively easy to be creative with few boundaries and a new system (no box).

Continuous improvement requires true creativity to innovate "within the box". Lots of boundaries.
