I'm just a girl faxing over Medicare Enrollment forms for someone who lost their job and health insurance but can't walk into an Social Security office to get enrolled into Medicare A, B and D before their coverage ends. Which means they will not have prescription coverage for 30 days. Sigh.

The current wait time for a Social Security phone appointment to enroll in Social Security benefits is 67 days. And we are cutting phone staff? While eliminating the ability to walk into an office without an appointment? Make it make sense.

Taking away the ability to change plans between 1/1 and 1/15 due to network changes is just wrong. Sad and wrong.

If finalized, these rules would result in a lot fewer people enrolled in Marketplace coverage, more hurdles to enrollment, higher out-of-pocket limits, etc.
