With my Apple Vision Pro just finished a class assignment on the beach, with Pages converted to a PDF and was able to upload it to moodle. All this while listening to music. Tech journalists are journalists and many write about the topic without using products like every day people.

Seriously, I don’t care if you’re right or left. How can you read this and see who wrote it. And really read these words and not think WTF. How is what’s happening today be partly because of the same person who wrote this 8 YEARS AGO!

“Alexa open disney” ok the amazon show. For the last 10 minutes trying to get it to authenticate. I really wish we’d stop pretending that all these streaming devices are on the same level as Apple TV

Pat McAfee is terrible and I am positive the other hosts on College Game Day only laugh because they have too. He forces this "personality" too much.

No car manufacturer can add/update apps faster then Android or iOS - to not offer customers the choice is customer hostility. It's amazing to hear people like RJ Scaringe play twister with with words to dazzle you into believing you don't need choice. @joannastern.bsky.social

@joannastern.bsky.social - you let RK Scaringe off pretty easy with the car play questions. His non answer was terrible. Every CarPlay interface looks the same? Wouldn't that also be the case for a manufacturer's built in interface. No automobile company has been able to make a good interface yet

This overshadowed another big announcement...
On Tuesday, Meta launched a super new PAC geared towards electing politicians that will block any AI regulation.

Just to be blunt, if you want Wired and 404 and The Verge to employ reporters who understand the memes on bullet casings and can connect them to gaming culture while having the legal and support resources to deal with waves of harassment when we do it… you have to subscribe and pay for the work
the entire media ecosystem is just not built or ready for events like this and far right billionaires like larry ellison buying news orgs will only make this worse

In “Political Ideologies Their Origins and Impact” Leon P. Baradat writes, Is fascism moribund or does it survive, awaiting another chance to take hold in a society confused and disoriented by the complexities of life? This print is from 2006 crazy how this question in 2025 is asked of US.

The “problem” with vaccines? They so effective at preventing deaths that they create generations of people that question whether disease was a problem in the first place because they have never experienced the horrors of a world without vaccines.

Hmm there must be a mistake because businesses pay tariffs… I remember a few years back when baby formula was in short demand and people were up in arms. Let’s see how many complain about paying more for absolutely no reason at all.

I cannot emphasize enough that the playbook being used against mRNA vaccines (and vaccines in general) is IDENTICAL to the playbook used to restrict voting rights after the 2020 election: actively sow public distrust, then cite the distrust you sowed as an independent reason for your desired policy
Opinion | Jay Bhattacharya: Why the NIH is pivoting away from mRNA vaccines
As a vaccine for broad public use, mRNA technology has failed to earn the public’s trust.

Now that blood oxygen sensor capabilities have been restored to my Apple watch it’s goodbye to Oura. This is my second Oura. I purchased this one in February and the battery capacity has already degraded considerably, that along with siloing information is too much of an inconvenience for me.
