I got an actual "Your silence on this subject is deafening" message this AM, so, super-quick: Nobody here owes anyone commentary about anything. This is a public park. It's full of interesting people. We hang out here, make friends, and chat, and then we leave to do whatever it is we do. That's it!

Her husband told her that detainees at Broadview had to get up at 5am to get in line for one bathroom. He often peed himself. One time he had to wait until 2pm to use the bathroom. You could only use the bathroom once a day. He said the agents would beat you if you used the bathroom on yourself.

In defense of Mamdani from the “both sides” fallacy brigade I will summon the spirit of Goldwater and note that a hopeful “extremism” in defense of a purposely starved underclass is no vice, and alienated political neutrality in the face of a criminal-led party of deliberate cruelty is no virtue
