It just occurred to me that a rank-and-flank game with non-deteriorating units (eg Kings of War) would be so much easier for me to do the battle map animations.

It makes me uncomfortable when a wargame is said to have a moving storyline because I prefer it to be a setting that remains static or evolves very slowly. I want to play many games in the setting rather than chase the latest development like a friggin' lore youtuber.

I sometimes wish I was a #ttrpg player, rather than a wargamer. I wouldn’t have to collect army after army of miniatures.

It turns out that I don't really like experimenting much when it comes to #minipainting . I just want to perform the exact known steps and have the army of my dreams in front of me, rather than get bogged down in analysis paralysis.

My new, seemingly hot take is that I couldn't stand Albert Finney as Poirot in 1974 film adaptation of Murder on the Orient Express. I enjoyed the film but boy, Poirot was annoying.
