🍁"B.C.’s EV regulations are helping British Columbians get behind the wheel of more affordable cars. The last thing we should do is reverse measures that help families. Instead, we should set them up for success," write Clean Energy Canada's @joannakyriazis.bsky.social and @kerimcnamara.bsky.social.

🏡 After recent heatwaves, cooling should be a priority for new builds in B.C. I love that my heat pump doesn't use gas, but I especially love how cool my home was this summer (plus, it's cheaper than running AC). Gas heating can only do just that—heat. Let's not go backward.
"It’s not only a climate issue, but a health and cost of living issue."

As Clean Energy Canada's report finds, electric heat pumps—which come with built-in AC—are already the cheapest heating and cooling option for most households in Vancouver.

The worst online misinformation is no worse than what's printed in the National Post. It's obvious from the quote in the article that he's saying people *falsely* suggest combating affordability and climate change are at odds. The IEA and numerous studies agree. 1/2

Some good news for a change.
China's EVs are helping lower oil demand in China, which is the 2nd largest consumer of oil. The same is happening here in the US.

Love to see it.

Good stuff, busting the myth that it’s Level 2 home charging or bust. For some, sure, but not all.
