As we travel the rocky path through life, experiencing the good, the bad and the indifferent, aren't we supposed to get wiser?
So someone explain BREXIT, Donald TRUMP and Mother Nature biting us on the arse.
At least I have Pompey to keep me sane PUP

I have never heard of this woman before. She is now my hero.
Ellen Wilkinson was such a good parliamentary performer.

Here she is in 1925, arguing for votes for women at 21 (rather than 30, as previously).

A busy few days for Labour, ten more things in action from them including changes to Employment Rights Bill for couples that miscarry and ban on NDAs for sexual misconduct of staff/visitors. Protecting workers every step of the way. Wage growth up too!!

In my view Starmer has quickly become a very useful, well respected and influential world leader. It has been a long long time since the UK has had one of those.

For ten minutes, Wilf Frost tried to get Shadow Home Sec Chris Philp to accept the rank hypocrisy in saying his party was totally right not to do something for 14 years AND Starmer totally wrong for not doing it sooner than six months. But it was like arguing with a tenacious parakeet. ~AA

hope it is not too embarassing (for english people) to have an Irish person point out today is Arthur Cockfield day.

ten days before daniel hannan day. no less.
10 years later, almost to the day, an englishman by the name of Arthur Cockfield made a presentation to the EEC Council in Milan.

his idea? A single market.

Europe loved the idea and it transformed an entire continent. One of britains biggest & finest contributions to Europe.

Your law enforcement officers aren't trained to do anything other than fire guns. That one is clearly intellectually challenged.
Whoa! Hats off to ABC News reporter Matt Gutman for keeping his cool yesterday.

This LAPD officer needs to be relieved of duty if he can’t handle an alleged “touch” without snapping.
