When are democrats going to seriously discuss the fracturing of the Obama coalition? Black voter preference has slightly decreased but turnout is lower vs 2012. Other nonwhite voter (D) preference has dropped 20pp. Democrats will NOT win nationally without engaged and involved voters of color.
The two greatest marketers and sellers in tech can’t get jiggy with this shit.

Trump went from “immediately bring prices down, starting on day one” to “affordability is a con job….a democrat scam”.

TX went from Richards to Dubya to Oops to Hotwheels, correlated with going from majority white (‘95) to majority minority (‘04) and Latinos as the largest group (‘21).

I worry (often) about the country becoming a shitshow like TX as white folks become increasingly hostile for similar reasons.

A supposedly brilliant person said there were 20M centenarians, up to age 150, collecting social security and we were sending millions of condoms to Hamas. 🤣

Overpromised and underdelivered (just like the current AI bubble).

“Unlimited PTO” was the scheme that Todd setup to come to you with the bullsh*t. 🤣

High performers tend to underutilize it, while weeding out low performers who supposedly “abuse” it. And it looks better on the balance sheet. It’s a scam y’all.

First it was tariffs aren’t tax increases, then it was DOGE rebates, then it was the OBBB that mostly renewed existing tax rates but sold as the largest tax cut in history, then the tariffs were supposed to offset the $3.4T increase to national debt, and now it’s tariff rebates. 😩

Dems backed Trump into a corner where he’s advocating for starving Americans and hemorrhaging support. If they vote to let him off the hook in exchange for nothing it’s a cataclysmic failure. I know people are in pain but insulating Republicans from political consequences is not the answer.

So-called moderate democrats are why we can’t have nice things and lose winnable elections. They do the most performative soul-sucking bullshit to make voters more apathetic.

The biggest risk isn’t the interest amortized over 50 years since the average mortgage is only held 7 to 8 years (and why rates are based on 10yr treasuries). It’s the principal.

What happens to home prices when you increase the demand for home loans without increasing the supply of homes?

Dick Cheney owes Donald Trump a debt of gratitude. Because without an even bigger, more evil sleezebag his death would have probably been the most anticipated and celebrated death of a former politician in recent history.

Much of the recent layoffs have little to do with AI. It's mostly from over-hiring during the pandemic (e.g. Amazon) which has been an issue, now exacerbated due to margin squeeze from tariffs. Even the so-called AI impact is probably from some other form of previously established tech/automation.

Racism has been an explicit tenet of the GOP since the southern strategy. Nixon was corrupt. The baby boomer presidents have been vietnam war draft dodgers/deferrers with various character flaws. But the way the majority of white voters have excused Trump before and after Jan 6th has been shocking.
“Is it any wonder that members of a generation that grew up with Jan. 6 .. are more likely to tolerate political violence ..? They don’t know that politics — as imperfect as it’s always been — can be much more decent than it is right now.”

The failure to contrast was partly why Biden wasn’t reelected. Democrats are taken less seriously about being critical about Trump’s crimes when they’re hemming and hawing on Netanyahu’s corruption and illegality.
Senator Cory Booker was asked whether he thinks Prime Minister Netanyahu is a war criminal.

Oh look, more bullshit from the Trump DOJ.

Of course it’s a bubble. From big data to predictive analytics, machine learning, the Excel killers to crypto, tech has overpromised for years to revolutionize business while only changing it on the margins.
