We’re almost able to solve some of the problems caused by using our software in the first place.

Hadn’t heard of that, will take a look!

“System of—“
“Head slapping.”

#autumn morning

Built by Lord Armstrong, of Vickers & Armstrong fame. He did a lot of other stuff, but he made a lot of money selling arms to Japan, Persia, and others.

Love visiting Cragside in the autumn (whilst awkwardly hmm-hmmming away the arms dealer money that built it all)

Finally, some good news

My sympathies from the world of procurement tech!

I don’t think I could have managed that

Nah, Trump wouldn’t have stopped there. Of 50ish regicides only 8 were executed and 16 died awaiting trial - the rest escaped to America or were pardoned. Cromwell got dug up and mutilated of course which is a bit Trumpy now I think of it…

We could be accused of slacking lately, it’s true!

Charles I is giving you a look right now, or he would be if we hadn’t chopped his head off
The death of multi-camera TV: a thread. I know most of you will know the technical parts of this (and may have read it in the other place) but bear with me. 1/ 🧵

New painting in progress. Would you believe this was a commission for my mum?

Me too, must be a marketing push

Some engineer made the mistake of joking about it, a PM overheard them, they mentioned it to management and heyyy…

(Maybe not but I’ve seen it happen before)

Ewan? Hah. Mum worked IT helpdesk at Bristol uni when he was a student, had trouble talking him through changing his password.

If you see this, post a concert picture you took

Well since AI is taking over digital, better get back to canvas and acrylics…

That’s assuming they can make it work, of course - I have faith in government outsourcing companies’ ability to screw anything up and charge us a lot of money for doing it

Not guilty on this one

If it’s any consolation I don’t think they’ll stay up long right by YStJ campus. We’re keeping ladders and cable snips handy in case they come down this way

Early morning dog walks have some perks

Just like how you stop writing bugs

Not a bad haul for early autumn

🤘

A good question to which I don’t have an answer that begs yet another question. Best I can do is think that foreign policy was always the prerogative of the monarch and maybe an independent FSec was an anomaly while it lasted, and now the power’s back with the executive

Might give it a go again, we were a bit disappointed when we went just after they opened!

We bought the house purely for the garden, the house itself was a bit of an afterthought!

Well, this makes up for the darker mornings
