Until the Charmera is back in stock, picked up a little Keychain camera to keep me going. Reduced in Continente from 19,99€ to 11,99€ as well so got two. One to play with and perhaps, one to circuit bend.

Remember remember the 8th of November, the half-frame photos you shot.

Remember remember the deadline to enter the half-frame photos you shot.

Don't be the guy on the 9th of November, crying because you forgot.

FOLKS, TODAY'S THE LAST DAY TO ENTER!!!

The @shittychallenge.bsky.social has spoken, for the first time in the best part of a month, and has the cover image of the profile been changed to the four-lens face of a Nimslo? Could the Elder Gods be clearing Their throats for an announcement? All Praise the Elder Gods!

Too late for the Crappy Commie Camera Party, but this arrived a couple of days ago and I've given it a good cleaning. The Fotopribor SKF-1 stereo adaptor. Made in the 1980s for the Helios-44M 58mm lens. Cleaned and (hopefully) adjusted, just waiting for some nice weather.

October 19 is the start of #FolderWeek. Let’s have a blast with our old folders. I’m going all Kodak this time with my Retina IIIC in 135 and the lovely Duo Six-20 with re-spooled 120 film. I’ve got Double-X in the IIIC. Haven’t decided yet on the film for my Six-20. #BelieveInFilm

A little bit of fun with this post. We're having a few days away at a resort in the Maldives. Normally, at this time of year the weather is warm and sunny, but this year the rainy season is clinging on. As a result, the TV channels were really glitchy, and I couldn't resist recording a few frames. If you are on Mastodon, you can now follow this blog directly.

Another Zeiss Ikon Nettar (517/16) Film Camera
A while ago, I picked up a beautiful Zeiss Ikon Nettar 517/16 medium format folding camera for next to nothing from the Kamerastore website. It was cheap because it had, 'flaws that will affect typical use.' In this case, the 'viewfinder has haze and fungus inside'. Otherwise, it was described as being in working condition. After a few weeks, I took it out with a roll of Lomochrome Turquoise, and the results were spectacular, but the hazy viewfinder was an issue and I really wanted to clean it out.

See What Happened When I redscaled Some Lomochrome Turquoise Film
Way back in June I made my first redscale film, and I loved it. Since then, whenever I decant some 35mm film into Rapid canisters, the odds are that at least one of the canisters will be redscaled. Just recently, I picked up some Lomochrome Turquoise film especially to decant into Rapid canisters, as that's one film stock that I've really wanted to try with a Rapid camera, so of course as well as a 'normal' decanted film, I rolled a length of Lomochrome Turquoise reversed into a Rapid canister.

Filling The Gaps: The Bencini Comet Rapid Half-frame Camera
Back in the early 1960s, in response to Kodak's introduction of its instamatic film system, the European film and camera company Agfa launched the Rapid system. Actually, it's more accurate to say that they reintroduced their 1940s Karat film system under a new name. Instead of a sealed plastic cassette, the Agfa Rapid system used metal canisters, which contained a length of 35mm film.

Seen some amazing work with these. I'm not interested (unless Pentax bring out a Rapid version), but I reckon it's well worth a punt.
A friend on IG is selling her Pentax 17. Anyone looking for an almost new one at a decent discount?
