Until the Charmera is back in stock, picked up a little Keychain camera to keep me going. Reduced in Continente from 19,99€ to 11,99€ as well so got two. One to play with and perhaps, one to circuit bend.

When I tried pinhole with the Diana, I was really disappointed. But on reflection, I suppose it's not that bad.

The haze on this one was all inside. The two front screws allow access to the back and I could use a cotton bud to clean the mirrors and inside glass. Don't remove the little screws, that was to adjust the mirrors.

I removed four small screws from the back, which I thought would give me access to the hazy front glass but turns out adjusted the mirrors. I think I got them back in alignment, but it was touch and go for a while.

Too late for the Crappy Commie Camera Party, but this arrived a couple of days ago and I've given it a good cleaning. The Fotopribor SKF-1 stereo adaptor. Made in the 1980s for the Helios-44M 58mm lens. Cleaned and (hopefully) adjusted, just waiting for some nice weather.

Not much of a photo, but this lovely was sitting on the leg of the table outside the patio.

Been doing mostly film photography for months. Yesterday, I powered up the micro four-thirds mirrorless camera and had a little practise with some freestyle surfers.

Thank you. Yes, there's nothing like a bit of pole-arity ...

It's half-frame Friday, and I never remember it's half-frame Friday. So here's a little bit of pole-arity from the Bencini Comet Rapid with Lomochrome Turquoise. #HalfFrame #HalfFrameFriday

Just finished scanning them. Here's a 'sneak peek' straight from the screen. Think, 'bluescale'.

Last time someone asked this question, I said the Gameboy. It's still the Gameboy, but now I have a new current favourite, the Bolta Photavit IV. I don't possess it yet, and it doesn't work, apparently, but when I get it, it might work again (or it might not). It uses Photavit cassettes, too.

The plan for tomorrow to (finally) take the films from last week's outing to the lab (Lomochrome Turquoise panoramas from the Horizon 202, Harman Red from the Zeiss Ikon Nettar 517/16). Also the Turquoise from the Bencini Comet Rapid and a roll of redscaled Turquoise. Tomorrow's camera?
October 2, 2025 at 10:56 AM
The Bencini Comet Rapid half-frame camera is loaded with a roll of Lomochrome Turquoise decanted into a Rapid canister. Hang on, is that other canister labelled Lomochrome Turquoise Redscale?

Next Wednesday, the Better Half is getting her hair done. That gives me a morning of wandering around Oliveira do Bairro with a couple of Rapid half-frame cameras. The Golden Wonder is loaded with the well expired film that came with the Bencini Comet Rapid ...

Being a Rapid film user, produced in direct competition to the instamatic system, I would say ... no.
September 28, 2025 at 1:07 PM
As an extra treat, it actually included a half-used roll of film and two canisters. There's about 12 half-frame exposures left on the film, I think. I'll load this into another half-frame Rapid camera and expose at a low ISO like 25.

A new half-frame camera arrived this afternoon, the Bencini Comet Rapid from the mid 1960s. It's a heavy little beastie, and will need a good clean. Like most of my cameras recently, it uses Agfa's Rapid film system.

I then picked up some more holders and discovered they were different. Some worked in the folder, others didn't. If you can find Goerz holders, they should work. But I've found with these old cameras it's a bit of a lottery.

Thanks to @christotheb.bsky.social for a lovely image with his smartphone and an IR filter. Reminded me of some smartphone urbex around the old Kartódromo track a couple of years ago.

I get a lovely 'hot spot' with my Samsung S24FE, too. Can be great, though.
