I’d much rather be filling out equipment prices in a spreadsheet for DnD. Or building an entire merchant’s guild and a gaggle of shops. Or laying out an easier way to price magic items on the fly for DMs.

I just spent way too much time figuring out how big a gold coin would be in 5e DnD.
PHB says 50 coins = 1 lb
Gold = 1206 lb/cuft
So the volume of a gold coin is roughly .028 cubic inches, and a penny is .026
Gold coins in DnD are the size of pennies. I’m not sure why this disappoints me so much.

It’s the weekend of Imbolc and I’ve felt the urge to play with plants. Set out some dirt pots so the creepers on my Fantasy Fern can root, and made a little makeshift greenhouse for the cuttings from my Rabbits Foot Fern. Soon I will have ferns to give away to friends. 🪴

Why does my cat look at me in absolute horror when I sneeze? Like what does he think just happened? It’s not like my face just opened up into an eldritch maw full of waving tentacles. But by the way this little demon reacts it totally did just that.

I’ve decided I’m going to start calling my Friday night in person DnD session a “dinner party” when I talk to normies. Considering we cook a huge meal to eat before/during the session, I think that’s fair. Then they ascribe the appropriate amount of effort to prep for this thing.
