Hey everyone! Okay! we're growing steadily, small but mighty, as we generally do. I have noted that the list is being a little touchy and sometimes I have to re-add folks - if you wanted to join but aren't showing, just let me know, I can fix it fast - yay tech hiccups! #pei go.bsky.app/2Uvx4Ym
Oh jeez, that Nova Scotian station the birds like so much is playing THE Mariah song. 😵‍💫

K no election. How about no more floor crossers and keep Carney in a minority? In this system, minorities are closer to PR and force nuance in leadership.

Update:

Both CBSA and Public Safety Minister Gary Anandasangaree are refusing to show any accountability for the Government of Canada detaining and interrogating a 95 year old Princeton law professor in what appears to be a politically motivated abuse of power

In Canada we'll have a sale on a Monday in November and call it Black Friday. We don't give a heck.

Never got notice for it, just now found a chastising dm - they clearly didn't look at time stamps of my / their posts nor how I was blocked before I could see their main reply and only learned about it much later? Strange to have someone assume/ read the absolute worst into me as humanly possible.

I'm weird about lupin. It annoys me - with no grounds! - when folks spell it "lupine" and I could hardly focus on the musical when the Confed Centre projected lupin in the back to school song 😵‍💫 why do I care?? Anyway, painting lupin today.

If I'm at home (PEI) - I'd just start: "Ice cream; is anything more delectable than ice cream? why..."
Question 8:
If you were in a situation where the only thing that could save a life was to successfully start a sing-a-long with a random group of strangers, what song are you belting?

I have the radio on some random Nova Scotian FM channel in the room with the animals and holy lordy are they EVER into Xmas over there 😂 The birds seem to like the chipper notes though, so it works.

Yesterday morning, Bram 🐇 had no appetite and I was so worried all day. I ended up giving him colic meds twice yesterday and it worked! This morning he has a normal appetite and I am so relieved :) He's been having health issues, every day is a gift ❤️

I would like something happy to happen or something to look forward to. Life is feeling very grindy and rather bleak today.

Remembering today - my grandfather, my great-grandfather - and dreaming of a world where war is just a concept kids learn about in school, a horrific relic of the past. I am remembering too all who have died and who struggle to survive in conflict zones and regions under siege or occupation.

Trying to mail a package to the US is a major pain in the ass now. They require you DL an app, pay them money in advance, and get a QR code. Without the code, Canada Post can't send it. I refuse to DL rando apps, with no assurance it won't collect more data, so my friend is only getting a card.

UPDATE: Canada has announced that it has lost its measles elimination status.

This is a direct result of the increase in anti-vax disinformation, which has caused large, sustained outbreaks in the country over the last year.

I can't share a lot of my paintings yet because they'll be gifts and, while this is a gift too, it's not linked to Xmas, so I can share! This is a 3" or so round magnet with my take on the beautiful, noble, long-sufferer-of-kisses, Amity, my friend Jessica's cat!

Ok, thank God.
Try as I might to forget the entirety of my grade 6 elementary school music curriculum, I sadly still recall being subjected to a song that had “Run Terry Run” as the chorus. My days in grade 6 predate the release of Forrest Gump by about a decade.

A new Terry Fox doc looks good... but they chose to call it "Run Terry Run", which makes me think of Forrest Gump. Do not like. A Canadian hero / icon deserves more than cheap American movie quotes 😩

The LEGO announcement of a Star Trek TNG set was super exciting until I realize it is going to retail at $400 USD which means I'd need a frickin mortgage to get it after the exchange rate, stupid effing tariffs, regular customs, and shipping. treknews.net/2025/11/06/l...
