Hey everyone! Okay! we're growing steadily, small but mighty, as we generally do. I have noted that the list is being a little touchy and sometimes I have to re-add folks - if you wanted to join but aren't showing, just let me know, I can fix it fast - yay tech hiccups! #pei go.bsky.app/2Uvx4Ym
Have any Canadians bought from Torrid since all the Tr*mp tariff crap - ie recently? I can't tell if I'll be dinged with a big bill.

You'll notice top athletes wearing n95s. It's because they work and they don't want possible organ damage.

Nothing like a photo shoot to torpedo one's confidence and self-esteem. 💔

I'm weary. Feeling low and a bit beat down. Jelly beans didn't help, so time to try a nap. I'll get sweeter, if not by sugar, then by snoozing.

We went from Monday is going to be a hot mess with up to 30cm of snow, winds, etc., to yeah, nah, it's not going to snow at all (is there a silent "ha ha suckers"?). 😖 I lowkey wish Enviro Canada wouldn't put out warnings when they have absolutely no idea 😅

Poilievre is really the best you can do, eh, Tories? Yikes.

I like fruit on the bottom yogurt. A lil swirly colours activity with my snack? Yes, please.

Korean reality TV has been giving me so much joy. Even in competition, everyone cheers each other on, has lovely compliments for their peers, and works together toward mutual goals. It's an unexpected balm in a world of sharp, painful edges. Feeling a lot of gratitude about it tbh.

All I need to know is how to ensure I never accidentally see it.

In my brain lives a grade four kid who sleeps restlessly before possible snow days so I'm on day two of not-great sleep and very grateful I can sneak back to bed for more snoozes. 😅 Be safe today, folks!

I never learned how to do make up. I'm supposed to have this skill as a female in this culture and I decidedly do not (as I stare at my clownish countenance after this evening's attempt😅) I have an imp photo coming up - If anyone knows of simple tutorials, I'll take 'em gladly!

Ty, Enviro Canada and CBC, for making me think it would storm 😂 it's clear as a bell, with a skiff of snow. Happy not even a delay day 😂

Anyone else finding themselves persistently reverting back to old music, movies, games, and books lately? 😂 A form of hiding, I suppose. Or, more generously, moments of rest from the *gestures broadly*

I guess my wish for Canadians in 2026 is for everyone to really, really let your imagination run wild about what a better world would look like, and then apply that to our political landscape, and refuse the options on offer, and talk to your friends and neighbours about it

I've been making this comparison since the beginning of the pandemic, because it's so similar.

It's a minimum amount of effort to protect yourself from a virus that could destroy your life.
I’m old enough to remember people making the same argument for not using condoms at the height of the AIDS crisis. Replace Covid with HIV and mask with condom and it’s scarily on point.

"Wild Harbour" when it could have been "Danger Bay". Ah well.

Carney's speech had surprising and refreshing elements of truth, but words are air - we've been capitulating a lot since Carney came in, elbows be damned, and as Denmark appears to be giving Trump parts of Greenland, we are likely to see Carney agree to the same in the North.

Oooh she's cold today - bundle up!
Big hugs (if you like hugs, Ian!) to @ianagp.bsky.social - I hope you have a great day, my friend ❤️

Today was a truly shitastic day, starting at midnight. 😵‍💫 It was a roller coaster where everything went very wrong. Stress on ultra high. And yet, at every turn, there were people there for me, offering help. I'm exhausted and also grateful. Community is everything.

I hope there is a delay or cancel. Insomnia has me.
