@davidfrenchjag.bsky.social looks askance at the first Circuit Court decision on a crucial matter of interpreting and reconciling two federal statutes on detaining "aliens". Seeking en banc hearing in the 5th Circuit would probably be futile, but there's hope in other courts--including the Supremes.

There are two separate but related scandals swirling around Epstein: the sex-with-and-trafficking-of-young-children scandal and the cozying-up-to-the-complicit-elites one.

Both are terrible, and from the individual victims' standpoint, the first is worse.
