hi friends, I’m so thrilled @publicgood.tech is on BlueSky! I've been a board member since 2021 & I care deeply about this org: the only one dedicated to supporting the people who do the very hard work of civic tech

Heads-up: I’m asking for donations give.socialgoodfund.org/t4pg-fund?re...

Excited that @publicgood.tech is on Bluesky! I’ve been on the board for a year now and have seen the incredible support we’ve been able to give to RIF’ed and furloughed federal staff and others during that year. Together in community during tough times.

Trump gets a pass on violent rhetoric, and he shouldn't. Calling the police is the correct response. Journalists should also take this seriously, demanding explanations and accountability from the White House, instead of pretending this is just a Thursday.
Important: House Dem leaders just said Trump's call for execution of Dems has prompted them to contact US Capitol Police and House Sergeant at Arms to "ensure the safety of these members and their families."

Treat Trump like an unhinged menace. He's weak and in deep political trouble. Don't let up.

I love seeing how many government teams are starting think about the things they build/own as products! It's evident in this week's #PublicSectorJobBoard - you can manage websites at @wmata.com, oversee licensing and permitting @boston.gov and more

Cuomo had YEARS as governor to address the real issues with rent stabilization - things like illegally destabilized units, lack of oversight, outdated technology managing the program, lack of landlord accountability, vacant units etc., and did just about nothing. 1/9

18F, the federal government’s technology shop, was demolished by Musk’s team shortly after midnight. It was a cost-recoverable org, charging agencies for their expertise, using a consulting model. Its cost to government was negligible, its benefits huge. My team there once saved DoD $500 billion.

A great list and place to start in the civic tech space. Thanks for putting together @cydharrell.bsky.social!
first draft of a lil civic tech starter pack! focused on practitioners, might do another one on other parts of the ecosystem later.
