Trump and his supporters seem to want a lot of things named after him (eg a DC area airport, the new WH ballroom, an NFL stadium) and his image to appear on our money and even Mt Rushmore.

It seems to me in normal times the Trump Administration would challenge the Maduro regime on the basis that Maduro stole the Venezuelan presidential election. Unfortunately stealing elections is Trump’s schtick, so he can’t go after Maduro on that basis. He has to make up something else like drugs
