@murray.senate.gov it's not enough for you to vote no on the CR. I also want you to be loud and explicit that the Senate Democrats need a new leader. @chuckschumer.com is past his pull date and Americans will die because of his failed leadership.

My family has been without half our income for 40 days. It has been.. very hard.

We are willing to feel that pain so people can have health care next year, or to undo these illegal recissions.

We are not willing to have been put through this for NOTHING.

The centrists in the Senate Democratic caucus saw that the country was rallying to the party in the 2025 elections and resolved that they would do anything they could to kill that momentum.

The President wants to use the military to crack down on Americans who are exercising their 1st Amendment rights to oppose him. I can’t think of a better reason to insist on exercising those rights.

If Republicans can control the White House and both houses in Congress, and arguably the Supreme Court as well, but still claim to cede all authority to the Democrats, why would any Republican voter ever support them again?
Mike Johnson: "Democrats are required to open the government. They keep saying, 'Republicans are in charge of government.' We aren't!"

The biggest protest in American history. Millions of people, many of them brandishing signs in favor of a free press and most of them from demographics that typically read news, and the @nytimes.com buries the story halfway down its app.

It seems like a bad business decision, if nothing else.

A picture-perfect day for a protest in Portland, OR. Can you see how massive that crowd is filling the park from one end to the other?

Portland brought it today.

Brought it ALL.

Amazing. ❤️

The most aggravating thing about the fixation on Biden's age is that he is actually aging much better than so many of his peers.

Amen.

On the one hand, this is a transparent attempt to overshadow #NoKings. Yawn.

On the other, um, I hope this is the only life fire event these murderous creeps are planning for Saturday.

There is no world in which it is normal for the president to publicly call upon his attorney general to hurry up and prosecute his political foes. It’s like the Watergate tapes but posted on social media. Let’s get a grip on what’s happening here.

This is the biggest attack on free speech since the McCarthy era but it also has significantly less popular consensus behind it than the second Red Scare. It's being done on behalf of a minority faction led by the most unpopular president in modern history. Organizing against this can win.

I definitely feel crazy thinking that T offed CK as a means of strong-arming more power.

Also, if I started ranting in 2019 that T was going to organize a coup at the Capitol to take Congress by force and hang Pence, everyone would have called me crazy.

There is NOTHING he won't do for power.

These thoughts keep circling in my head.

With history as a guide, we know that Trump will try any coup possible to keep control of our government.

And with history as our guide, we know he will fail.

Keep fighting.
The Third Reich didn't last 1,000 years.

Pinochet was ousted with a referendum.

And the US isn't exactly dealing with the smartest, most competent fascists.

Those of you insisting that 2025 is forever need to read a book, touch grass, go to therapy, anything other than trying to make others quit.
