From October, the TTPA means most advertising platforms are banning "political ads" in EU.
HOWEVER as far as I can tell, only Meta takes this to include "social" ads. Google & Microsoft are only banning election/legislation specific ads, not "social isses".
Is this how we're all interpreting it?

If anyone hasn't seen... fresh round of restrictions and warnings appearing in medical charity Meta ad accounts kicking in from September, affecting custom conversions and audiences. Good luck out there - get in touch if you need a hand #Meta

Yesterday while training for my MCR half in May I experienced the "legs and feet feel like stumps" for the first time - sending all the power, hydration and strong stomach vibes to all #marathon runners today, esp those for @cftrustuk.bsky.social & @melanomafocus.bsky.social 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻

The entshittification of #Google continues.
Lately Garmin decided to switch to a freemium model, offering a paid subscription tier when all features had previously been free.
This blog then published an April Fools post that Garmin were reversing their position... and Google published it as News.

In my entire career, I've never worked on a digital landscape ppt on a Thursday, knowing it could be so dramatically out of date by Monday.

With the #tiktok ban confusion, & the outstanding question will Meta be financially & ethically viable for charities by 2026...

A great way to end 2024: another curveball from Meta for charities. For organisations categorised as "sensitive" (e.g. related to health, trade unions, politics, hardship) you may only be able to run awareness or traffic campaigns. Have you had an alert? What mitigations are you taking? 🧵
