Remember the time Obama personally caught a fainting woman during his speech — rather than just blankly staring like a sociopath?

Character isn't something you tell people about.

It's something you live.

Ephemeral joy and nonsense joy and ecstatic joy and contemplative joy, the joy of being and of doing and of not doing and of burning it down and of building it up and anyway there’s lots of variations don’t be afraid, a little joy won’t make you unserious, it patches you up so you can be serious
Today it’s easy to be joyful so how about a little pop-up theme call. Joy is the theme. Whatever gives you joy counts unless it’s hate, that won’t count. Poems flash micro art, everyone welcome even if you’ve already submitted. templeinacity.com/submit-writi...

A most unexpected surprise!
While posing for a photo, an NYC police officer recited a poem by the legendary Taras Shevchenko upon hearing the Ukrainian language. The officer studied Ukrainian in college — in Manhattan.
Now this is what we call gentle Ukrainization 😉

Proud to be the weirdest. Thank you for the reprint!
NEW STORY by Karen Walker @kawalker.bsky.social
...with a title waaaay too long to include here.

It's a fun story about a relationship going poorly, told in the most unique way you can imagine. It was a challenge to publish but it was worth every minute.

Check out "Abstract..." here:
