#showmeyourknits floof? Well, I've just cast on a hat using up some end-of-line-discounted-mohair! I didn't have a use for it, then it dawned on me that it's fingering weight & so has good length. Weather is getting cold so hat it is. May have enough for skinny scarf or mitts.

#showmeyourknits - floof question, since it's floof week. I've done some pieces with floof held with merino, but am getting 'tangles' on the back from where I've been seated - any tips? It's really put me off using it further but a) I like it and b) I have a stash...!!!

OK sock #knit people - I don't knit men's socks, so am after advice. UK size 9, 2.5mm needle, fingering/4ply - how many stitches would you go for? Knitting toe-up & I'd normally do 60/64 for myself, but I have small feet. Thinking 66? I did try 72 but way too wide. Baggy sock just won't do!

They say that you should never cook with wine that you wouldn't drink. I couldn't do it. The expensive wine remains on the rack & I picked up a cheap bottle of red from M&S for the food. Cheers!

Joking in a coffee shop about my many hand knitted socks with another regular. He made comment about his foot size (as in, I'm this size if you're #knitting extras). So, I'm going to surprise him, but what design?

#showmeyourknits these won't be on my needles for much longer! Just doing the cuff. I think I prefer toe-up socks as I can decide to add pattern, length etc based on yarn left. Also, I like the flushness of the heel.

#showmeyourknits At the sad face phase of socks, must get some googly eyes for effect! Cabled socks in heavy worsted weight. Hoping they'll let my feet get in, they are quite firm. Just the foot to go.

I ordered it in paperback 2 days ago. Now, it says canceled, and everywhere I look says it won't be out until Aug 2026?
What happened here? Tariffs? Publishing issue? The bookstore setting it as available when it wasn't?

#knitting advice please. Just cast on yet another pair of socks, but I have loads. Thinking about morphing them into mittens (no real experience w'mittens). These were to be toe-up socks. So, advice is about thumbs - reverse-engineer graduated thumb, or do a slit type thumb which sits on palm side?

A squishy order of Balthazar's Gift 2 in fluffy Aran weight yarn in 100% merino. The figure it is inspired by is still one of my fave medieval depictions of Balthazar the Magi bc he has the best "work it" pose.

#showmeyourknits I'm at that point where I want to grab some googly eyes and a couple of pink tongues! These are knitting up so quickly for a ribbed sock and they are so thick, great for winter house socks. Not sure I can get dress boots on with them, maybe hiking boots.

Not been fan of Argos (UK retailer) for ages. Just got too £££'s & customer service lacking. Roll on 15+ years and they had best deal for new washing machine. Price-matched, but included delivery & recycle (=decent saving). Chaps arrived at 7am & unexpectedly fitted the new one! Get in!!
