Some words of introduction: I am a German peace and conflict scholar situated in Sweden, working widely on nationalism, gender, and sexuality in Northern Europe. I study these aspects in the context of migration, geopolitics, militarisation and various other political projects of (non-)belonging.
Soon, my position at the Swedish Institute for Human Rights ends and I will start as a temporary lecturer at the Department of Cultural Sciences in #Gothenburg. Very thankful for the time I got to spent with #human #rights #defenders, and super excited to go back to #teaching and #research!

Jag påpekar gärna problemet med alla ”smarta” maskiner. Ofta med hänvisning till min tyska bakgrund (och således nedärvda erfarenhet av både diktaturer och krig ✌🏼). Jepp, det är smidigt med FaceID och Siri och AI, tills all samlat information om dig blir till hot mot din egen säkerhet.
"Det är en motståndshandling att vägra gå med på smarta kylskåp som lyssnar på ens varje samtal, protestera mot ansiktsigenkänning från AI styrd av Palantir eller insistera på att äga sin egen teknik."
