Sad to report that The Amusement Park NOT scratching my brain the right way at the moment. It's not bad, and I will probably return to it some other time, possibly not as audio book, but for now it goes back in circulation for someone else. And I go back to the drawing board.

So, a boss at a previous job gave me an "oracle" book for Christmas one year. I don't turn to it for actual guidance, but I do occasionally flip it open to a random page and laugh at the platitude. But... today? DON'T FUCKING PATRONIZE ME, YOU HUNK OF CELLULOSE.

I know it's not actually a big deal in the grand scheme of the world, but APA's reference list format and the lack of capitalizing titles of anything except periodicals MIGHT be a significant part of my villain origin story. (This has been true for more than 20 years. But it always bears repeating).

I wrote words today. Unfortunately it was all boring technical documentation for work. But I inch ever closer to being a normal human being again. So close. I am like 87.3 percent sure that that's the actual light at the end of the tunnel I see, not the light of an oncoming train.
