Party doesn't matter to those of us who want abusers to finally be held accountable. Democrats, Republicans, Independents...release every name.

Find them all, out them all, prosecute them all. It won't end until we end it.

There is no peace without justice.

Release the files and let justice be done.

Have you noticed that if it happens on a Republican's watch, it was God's plan, but if it happens on a Democrat's watch, it was God's punishment?

If you've left a harmful religion, remember that you don't owe anyone an explanation. You also don't owe them the the false comfort of believing you're still in it.

Their fear for you doesn't belong to you. It's not your responsibility, or your problem to fix.

While I no longer consider myself a religious person, I'm really looking forward to a continuation of the Biblical precedent of spiritual leaders admonishing the abuses of evil politicians.

Bring it, Pope Leo XIV.

What will it take for it to matter to you?

Someone who looks like you? Believes like you?
Someone in your community or family? Will it only matter when it happens to you?

Kilmar is all of us. If the law doesn’t matter for him, it doesn’t matter for any of us.

Remember that the worth and meaning of any human life has never been contingent upon their living in a nation with an ethical and functioning government. Many have never had the option.

It would be better if we had it, and we should try our best.

But live your your purpose anyway. You are needed.

RFK Jr is telling people who rely on psychotropic medications that they are addicted, and those medications therefore aren't safe.

That's like telling a type 1 diabetic that they are addicted to their insulin, and then threatening to take that insulin away.

SSRIs are a focus of a new Trump executive order that installs Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s 'Make America Healthy Again' commission. Here's what they do.

Laughing is resistance.
Joy is resistance.

Never be afraid of your anger at injustice. That's advocacy fuel.

Putting abusive men in unchecked power is rape culture.

Women can scream at the top of their lungs about who these men are, and it's not enough.

That sends a message to abusers that they can abuse, and to their victims that no one will help. Expect a lot more abuse from here forward.

Hold fast.

There is sacred space inside all of us that nothing can touch. No matter what happens, there is space at the core of yourself. Like a sort of holy flame that can never be put out. Find it, Feed it, Grow it.

Abuse would seek to destroy it, but no amount can. It belongs only to you.

Rebecca Solnit: “They want you to feel powerless and surrender and let them trample everything and you are not going to let them. You are not giving up, and neither am I. The fact that we cannot save everything does not mean we cannot save anything and everything we can save is worth saving.”

alright you wanna know how to support trans people?

hire them. It's REALLY hard already for visibly trans people to get jobs, even before this shit.

Support places that have trans people working front of house, and make sure owners know that's part of why you're there.

Don't watch the train wreck, he will take bad ratings personally. Don't buy anything, if you can help it. Deactivate/cancel Meta and Amazon, even if you reactivate next week. These are small things, but they are something. And we have to do something.

If you're feeling a sense of impending dread:

Trying to anticipate and respond to every possible threat will lead to panic, exhaustion, burnout, and disconnect. Then when danger comes, we won't be paying attention or have energy to respond.

The task right now: Stay grounded, and pay attention.

Half way through the first episode, and I can already tell Ted Lasso is going to be my new emotional support show.

I'm gonna need it.

Happy new year! You will be the same person tomorrow as you are today. Let your changes be gentle and sustainable. If you can't keep doing it next December, maybe go softer in January.

Something my clients hear a lot is "You're too sensitive." Calling someone "sensitive" is simply a way to dismiss concerns about violated boundaries. Who decided being sensitive to injustice, or feelings is a negative thing? Who benefits from us not being allowed to tune in and call it out?
