If you haven’t read this story yet, you absolutely should. What a great and horrifying commentary on the state of things. This one will stick with you.

You should absolutely go read this story by my writing friend @indigorue.bsky.social! It is a delightful little sliver of self-discovery.
Something has gone awry at the faire this year, and Princess Lilaclaire is not having a great time. Check out "Princess Lilaclaire and the Witch's Frog Faire" by @indigorue.bsky.social today and see what happens when the frogs just aren't cooperating:
Princess Lilaclaire and the Witch’s Frog Faire - Small Wonders
"How's that saying go?" Elsamina scooped a frog from the pond with a long-handled net. "You gotta kiss a few of these before you find your prince." She lifted the slimy creature towards Lilaclaire's lips and cackled. "Pucker up!"

I feel privileged to have read this story by the talented @jaimegill.bsky.social beforehand, and am pleased (and unsurprised) to see it snapped up by Oyster River. It's one of the most human and emotionally resonant hard science fiction stories I've ever read. A highly recommended read.
This makes me so happy I could cry. Black Sky, Blue Earth - my aching story about climate collapse & personal rebirth - is the lead story in this year’s @oysterriverpages.bsky.social. It has a lot of my soul in it. Please read it & all of Oyster River’s work

Came across this gem in phoebe journal this morning and absolutely had to share it. What an excellent sliver of poetry that really resonates with some of my own experiences.
Thrilled to have a new poem, "The Sacrifice of Small Things," in the newest edition of phoebe!

I’m obsessed. This pub knocked two writing goals off of my list: artwork and narration. The whole process was transparent from start to finish. The art and narration are perfect! Please go check it out and I highly recommend subbing to them if you have something you think will fit their fun vibe. 🤩🎉

If you need your daily dose of heartbreak this is a great place to get it. Sarah is one of my most favourite writers and this story aches of the melancholic/nostalgic/poetic voice I’ve come to associate with her writing. Well worth the read. Also, who doesn’t love paint colour swatches? 🧡💜💚🩵🩶💙🩷💛

Love this stunning piece by Mizuki. A beautiful weaving of fact, imagery, and emotion. And Flash Frog’s first frog to boot! 👏

The frog doesn’t move. Not for a long time. Its skin is the green of river glass, shimmering like a puddle after rain—light fractured across something thin and soft. The ventral surface is pale and…

Epic Echoes was my first publication and I can’t thank them enough. My story, “Oh Mariana!”, is a ghost tale and while writing it my primary thought was that I wanted to write something that embodied the scary story you tell around a campfire vibe. Read it here: www.epicechoesmag.com/data/files/d...
