I want nothing on earth as much as I want a record-breaking, unequivocal, absolutely seismic win to prove to the Democrats that unambiguously championing trans people with your out-loud voice is as strategically effective as it is morally right

Why even go to college? Why write anything? Why read anything? Why learn anything? Why make art? At some point we're going to have to reckon with the basic idea of what makes life worthwhile and meaningful.
In only two years, ChatGPT and the surge of AI-generated cheating from college students it has created have unraveled the entire academic project.

“Even big men don’t want to ride the subway” Can confirm, I was on the subway yesterday and it was just a bunch of women and small men. The big men couldn’t figure out how to work the tunstiles 😔
Sean Duffy: "The truth is, transit across America is dangerous. And these liberals -- liberal mayors -- they want everybody out of cars and into trains but they made the trains unsafe so nobody really wants to ride them ... even big men don't want to ride the subway at those times of night."

Note to editors and producers: If an executive order demands action that is illegal or outside of the president’s authority, then you should not describe it as ordering something. You should say it seeks to achieve some outcome and then note it is illegal or beyond the power of the president.

The hype about the ability for ChatGPT to produce Studio Ghibli style images belies the entire basis of the generative AI hype: it relies on wholesale plagiarism and copyright infringement to create content that is only deemed interesting by dint of sheer imitation. It is anti-art and anti-human.

Stoppp she sounds so cool and relatable in this interview that I worry I'm at risk of turning into the fangirl equivalent of the obnoxious Elon sycophants from a decade ago for her
Vivian Wilson is Teen Vogue’s special issue cover star. The 20-year-old estranged daughter of Elon Musk discusses her modeling and TV aspirations, unusual extended family, and what she describes as the “cartoonishly evil” Trump admin. Read the full interview here: www.teenvogue.com/story/vivian...

A Del Toro adaptation of Frankenstein?? Is this a dream? Has there ever been a better marriage of director and story, specifically targeted to an audience of me?

The Democrats had better step up, loudly and unanimously.

I am once again asking everyone to read Octavia Butler. And if you think Parable of the Sower is prophetic, just wait until you get to the "make America great again" presidential candidate in Parable of the Talents.
Octavia Butler being a time traveler or seer, will forever be a hill I'm willing to die on, because there's just no way. Parable of The Sower was published in 1993. Look at this date. #BlackBookSky #BookSky

I would like to speak up today for the trans community.
You see, I know a bit of what it’s like to be politically scapegoated. When Japan attacked Pearl Harbor in 1941, suddenly anyone in America who had any amount of Japanese ancestry became suspect. Politicians preyed upon ignorance and fear. /1

Earnest post, but: a thing I like here is it’s okay to have moments of happiness in public without being broadly scolded, and I believe that sustaining this kind of humanity will be very important as we resist fascism.

So heartening to see Data for Progress on here and that this is their very first post. I'm officially never going back to the Musk/Rowling hellsite. Human rights are nonnegotiable.
Hi Bluesky! Glad to be here.
In the wake of the election, it's disheartening to see some Democrats throw the transgender community under the bus.
The data shows that's the wrong approach — voters actually want the government to be less involved in regulating transgender people's lives.
