Day 17 of my favourite kids books by Black authors. And today’s gem is Rat by Patrice Lawrence (ages 10+) about one boy’s mission for revenge along with his two pet rats. It’s about community, loneliness and family. And it’s a super readable book from Barrington Stoke too.
