AOC: ICE has less accountability than virtually any law enforcement agency in the U.S., yet they are some of the most well-funded, operating with impunity—and we just saw them murder an American citizen in cold blood in the street.

Let's hope nobody tells this 79-year-old child about Svalbard. Also, for how long will the Republican Party and the American public be willing to be complicit in the daily humiliation of their own country?
"Norway, a NATO member, foolishly chose not to give me the Nobel Peace Prize."

This is U.S. diplomacy, 2026. F-ing sad, really.

"we are the dominant predator force in the Western Hemisphere"

No lie there!
Ogles: "It's important that we have a stake in Greenland, that they are quite frankly a protectorate of the US. They've been in relationship with Denmark - that needs to end. We've spilled more blood protecting Greenland than the Danes... we are the dominant predator force in the Western Hemisphere"

Trump operates as a dictator without dictatorship...he understands his power not as representation but as delegation. This is not how democracy works. Red flags happen every day & we cannot ignore his words because they mean testing the waters for what can become a dark reality

Deplorable times for universities in Trump's USA. What next? New courses on the deep wisdoms (don't miss the irony here) of Nietzsche, Oswald Spengler, Carl Schmitt and Julius Evola?

On this 5-year anniversary of January 6th, let’s all remember that we are not immune from coups and insurrections. We are not immune from authoritarianism. Preventing them from happening in the U.S. requires all of us pay attention and do something to protect democracy.

Not so subtle Lebensraum vibes going on here.
MILLER: The US is using its military to secure our interests unapologetically in our hemisphere. We're a superpower. It's absurd we'd allow a nation in our backyard to become a supplier of resources to our adversaries

MILLER: Greenland should be part of the US. By what right does Denmark assert control over Greenland? The US is the power of NATO

T: So force is on the table?

M: Nobody is gonna fight the US militarily over future of Greenland

No more strongly worded letters. It’s time to draft articles of impeachment.

Useful reminders of why interventionism in Venezuela is a continuity of US policy and not another Trumpian disruption. In the Americas, the Cold War has not ended www.npr.org/2026/01/02/n...
U.S. interventions in Latin America and the Caribbean haven't always gone as planned
President Trump's pressure campaign against Venezuela is the latest in a long saga of U.S. intervention in the region that is rooted in the 1823 Monroe Doctrine — and is a mix of success and failure.

Perhaps worth remembering that polls about US intervention in Venezuela conducted before today are no longer informative. Expect public opinion to polarise very quickly (dampening any effect on Americans’ views of Trump):
