I don't think I've shared this piece on its own before. An illustration I did in early 2025 ( a year ago 💀) for author Emily Rath featuring characters from her novel North is the Night.

Mako-ron shark 🦈 #art

In the 20+ years I've had Crohn's Disease, 2025 was easily the most difficult year this illness has ever put me through. I'm really proud that I managed to get an artwork done every month this year despite struggling so much with my health. Lets hope 2026 is kinder and gentler to us all. 💚

My choices for 2025 Colour of the Year
Rin is an OC owned by me (Stasanie) Rin is a Yinshin, a closed species created by Mathilde Périé Rin is depicted here in her exalted form. She has a unicorn-like appearance with a thick dragon-like tail covered in golden scales. The front half of her body is dark maroon in colour, and the hind part of her body is pink. She has a light pink mane covered in hellebore flowers. She stands facing away from the viewer against a dark sunset sky. Creamy clouds billow up in the distance, and a pink willow hangs overhead. In the foreground are more of her affinity flowers - the hellebore. There is a box with a colour swatch in it for a dark coral colour called "Bittersweet Memory" This artwork was created for Nexus and features the OCs Perun (who belongs to nexus) and Fern (who belongs to me). My favorite part about this joke is that an actual artist had to go out of their way to draw this. They didn't take the easy way out and actually use an AI generated image, they had an actual artist make a parody of AI art. And the joke is way better because of it.

It's kinda heartbreaking to see so many artists being like "can I post about OCs and not just fanart?", "can I talk about other stuff?", "can I post often?" because the other hellsite literally punished you for doing...normal things you do as an artist - as a person, even.
