It's a bit unnecessary with the current rules, but there's something oddly satisfying about removing a Manticore's magnetized rockets and letting them snap back into place.

It's not the most intricate paint job, but I really like how my IG vehicles turned out. They're blending in quite nicely with the existing tank.

Still some details and decals left to do, and then on to the infantry.

I found decals for my Valkyrie in my scale model supplies. This is probably where I have to declare that any similarities to naval aviators, real or fictional, is purely coincidental.
A close up of my Valkyrie's cockpit section, showing a few decals I have applied. Some are from GW's Astra Militarum vehicle transfer sheet, some from an Hasegawa F/A-18 kit, and some are from a DEF Model/Jeight Design decal set. Among them are several warning signs, three skulls serving as kill markings, a barely visible modex number (300), and two names underneath the canopies for the pilot and the navigator respectively: LT Natasha Trace "Phoenix" and LT Robert Floyd "Bob", characters from the movie Top Gun: Maverick.

I loathed the decals on my Space Marine army (skill issue *cough*), so I never bothered with them for my old IG minis.

Hence, my Valkyrie's fuselage looks empty to this day. I might have to change that.

I refuse to believe that it's been 16 years since #MassEffect 2 was first released. If there's one game series that keeps living in my head rent-free, it's this one.

Progress report on the 5th Battalion, 191st Death Korps Assault Korps. Tanks almost finished; artillery about half done; 7 out of 10 platoons complete. Here are about 15,000 pts, 550 infantry, 30 tanks, and 15 guns. The Imperial Guard stands ready to defend the Imperium!
